Requirements for installation and use of 1. mechanical seals
1. Mechanical seal requirements for machine accuracy (take pump mechanical seal as an example)
(1) the radial runout tolerance of the shaft (or shaft sleeve) where the mechanical seal is installed shall not exceed 0.04~0.06mm at most.(2) the axial movement of the rotor shall not exceed 0.3mm.(3) the runout tolerance of the positioning end face of the seal cavity combined with the seal end cover to the surface of the shaft (or shaft sleeve) shall not exceed 0.04~0.06mm at most. 2. confirmation of the seal (1) confirmation consistent with the required model.
(2) Before installation, carefully compare with the final assembly drawing to see if the number of parts is complete.
(3) The mechanical seal driven by the coil spring is adopted. The spring is divided into left and right rotation, which must be selected according to the rotation direction of the rotating shaft.
2. selection method
According to the different working conditions and the nature of the medium, the mechanical seal has high temperature resistance, low temperature resistance mechanical seal, high pressure resistance, corrosion resistance mechanical seal, particle resistance medium mechanical seal and adapt to the easy vaporization of light hydrocarbon medium mechanical seal, etc., should be selected according to different uses of different structural types and materials of mechanical seal.
The main parameters of the selection are: sealed cavity pressure (MPa), fluid temperature (℃), working speed (m/s), the characteristics of the fluid and the effective space for installing the seal.
The basic principles of selection are: 1. According to the pressure of the sealed cavity, the sealing structure is determined to be balanced or non-balanced, single-end or double-end.
2. According to the working speed, determine the use of rotary or static, fluid dynamic or non-contact type.
3. According to the temperature and fluid properties, determine the friction pair and auxiliary sealing materials, and the correct choice of lubrication, flushing, heat preservation, cooling and other mechanical seal cycle protection system.
4. According to the effective space of the installation seal, determine the use of multi-spring or single spring or wave spring, built-in or external.
3. installation
The installation method varies with the type of mechanical seal and the type of machine, but the installation essentials are almost the same. The installation steps and precautions are as follows:(1) The installation size should be determined according to the product instruction manual or sample. Ensure the installation size of the mechanical seal.
(2) Before loading, the shaft (shaft sleeve) and gland should be free of burrs, and the bearing should be in good condition; the seal, shaft, seal cavity and gland should be cleaned. In order to reduce the friction resistance, the part of the shaft on which the mechanical seal is installed should be coated with a thin layer of oil for lubrication. Considering the compatibility of rubber O-rings, if oil is not suitable, soapy water can be applied. Floating static ring without anti-rotation pin structure, should not be oiled, should be dry mounted gland.
(3) Install the static ring and the gland on the shaft together, be careful not to collide with the shaft, and then install the moving ring assembly. The set screws of the spring seat or transmission seat should be tightened evenly in several times.
Before the gland is not fixed, push the compensation ring by hand for axial compression. After loosening, the compensation ring can automatically spring back without seizure, and then lock the gland bolts evenly.
4. use
(1) When the temperature of the conveying medium is too high, too low, or contains impurity particles, flammable, explosive, and toxic, corresponding measures such as blocking, flushing, cooling, and filtering must be taken.
(2) Before operation, turn the car by hand, and pay attention to whether the torque is too large, whether there is rubbing and abnormal sound.
(3) Pay attention to the rotation direction, whether the coupling is aligned, whether the lubricating oil addition at the bearing part is appropriate, and whether the piping is correct.
(4) Before operation, first open the medium and cooling water valves to check whether the gas in the sealed cavity is completely discharged to prevent leakage caused by static pressure, and then start the operation.
(5) Whether the work is normal and stable after driving, whether there is abnormal torque caused by shaft rotation, abnormal noise and overheating.
